BANGER EDITS is committed to client satisfaction. This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available, how to request one, and how disputes are resolved.
By using the Service, you agree to this Refund Policy. It supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. The Basics
1.1 Wallet model
BANGER EDITS operates on a wallet credit model. Clients top up their wallet via Stripe and spend the balance on bangers (video edits, paid ads, graphics, or AI videos).
1.2 What this policy covers
- Refunds for wallet top-ups
- Refunds for specific bangers (delivered or in-progress)
- Subscription cancellations and partial refunds
- Dispute resolution
2. Wallet Top-Ups
2.1 Unused wallet balance
If you have an unused wallet balance and have not yet submitted any banger using that balance, you may request a refund within 30 days of the top-up transaction.
Refunds of unused balance are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and typically arrive within 5-10 business days.
2.2 Used wallet balance
Once wallet credit has been used to submit a banger, that credit is non-refundable to cash, but may be eligible for partial wallet credit under the conditions in Section 3 below.
2.3 Bonus credit
Subscription bonus credit (the additional credit added to your wallet from monthly bundles) is non-refundable to cash under any circumstances. It can be used until the wallet balance is depleted.
3. Banger-Specific Refunds
We offer refunds on individual bangers under the following circumstances:
3.1 Banger not delivered on time
If your banger is not delivered within the 72-hour SLA from acceptance, you are entitled to:
- 0-24 hours late: 25% credit refund to wallet, edit continues.
- 24-48 hours late: 50% credit refund to wallet, edit continues.
- More than 48 hours late: Full refund to wallet, you may cancel the order.
Refunds are issued automatically based on delivery timestamps; you do not need to request them.
Exceptions may apply where the delay is caused by the Client (e.g. unresponsive to editor questions, late approval of preliminary work).
3.2 Banger does not meet tier standards
If the delivered banger does not meet the published deliverable standards of the tier you purchased (e.g. you ordered a Banger tier and received only Basic-level work), you may dispute the delivery within 7 days of receipt.
Disputes are resolved per Section 4 below.
3.3 Banger never started
If no editor accepts your banger within 24 hours of submission, you receive a full credit refund to your wallet automatically.
3.4 Cancellation by Client
You may cancel a banger that has not yet been started by an editor. Full credit refund to wallet.
Once an editor has accepted and started work, cancellation is at our discretion. Partial credit refunds may be granted depending on how much work has been completed.
4. Dispute Resolution
4.1 Filing a dispute
To dispute a delivered banger, open the banger in your dashboard and click "Dispute this delivery." You will be prompted to:
- Select a reason (didn't match brief / quality below tier standard / not delivered on time / other).
- Provide a written explanation (minimum 30 characters).
- Submit. The system automatically attaches your brief, all timeline comments, and the editor chat thread as evidence.
Disputes must be filed within 7 days of delivery to be considered.
4.2 Review process
Our admin team reviews each dispute within 3 business days. We may contact you or the editor for additional information.
4.3 Possible outcomes
- Side with Client: full credit refund to your wallet. Editor receives no payout for the job.
- Side with Editor: banger marked as complete. Editor receives full payout. No refund to Client.
- Partial resolution: percentage split between Client wallet refund and Editor payout (e.g. 50/50, 70/30) at admin's discretion.
Both parties are notified of the outcome by email and in-app. Disputes are resolved in good faith based on the evidence; our decision is final for the platform.
4.4 Charging back via Stripe
If you charge back a Stripe transaction without first attempting to resolve through our dispute process, your account may be suspended pending investigation. We strongly encourage you to use our dispute process first — it's faster and avoids the complications of a credit card chargeback.
5. Subscription Cancellations
5.1 Cancelling your subscription
You may cancel a monthly bundle subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
5.2 Partial-period refunds
We do not pro-rate subscription refunds for unused portions of a billing period. Your bundle remains active, and your wallet retains the credit you've already received, until the end of the period.
5.3 Bonus credit after cancellation
After cancellation, your wallet balance (including bonus credit) remains usable indefinitely or until your account is closed. It does not expire.
6. Account Closure
If you close your BANGER EDITS account:
- Unused wallet balance (excluding bonus credit) is refunded to your original payment method via Stripe within 30 days.
- Bonus credit is forfeited.
- Any in-progress bangers must be either completed or cancelled before closure.
7. Exceptions and Limitations
7.1 No refunds for
- Bangers delivered, reviewed, and approved by the Client.
- Bangers where the Client has been unresponsive for more than 14 days during review.
- Subjective dissatisfaction where the delivered work meets the brief and tier standards.
- Disputes filed more than 7 days after delivery.
- Wallet top-ups where the funds have been fully spent and no quality dispute is open.
7.2 Fraud and abuse
We reserve the right to deny refund requests that we determine are fraudulent or abusive, or where a pattern of repeated dispute behavior suggests the user is misusing the dispute process.
7.3 Stripe fees
Stripe processing fees are non-refundable to BANGER EDITS. Refunds issued to the original payment method are for the full transaction amount; we absorb the fee.
8. How to Request a Refund
For automatic refunds (late delivery, no editor accepted, cancellation before start): no action needed. The credit will appear in your wallet automatically.
For all other refund requests, contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL] with:
- Your account email.
- The banger ID or transaction ID.
- A brief explanation of the issue.
We respond to refund requests within 2 business days.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy reflects when it was most recently revised.
